If you were the first opt-ins of the AstraZeneca (AZ) vaccine and have taken the first jab, your appointment for the second dose is now available on MySejahtera.
I was also part of the first batch of AZ opters, and my second dose appointment is nine weeks after my first jab. The shortened dosing interval, from the initial 12 weeks, was also announced by Khairy Jamaluddin, the coordinating minister for the National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) via his tweet on Thursday evening.
The shorter dosing interval is probably due to the massive donation of AZ vaccines from Japan to South East Asian countries and several other Asian countries. The vaccines from Japan has arrived at KLIA, also on Thursday.
So please do check your MySejahtera app, and if you have received your appointment, don’t forget to accept.
